With the 2008 Presidential Election looming just around the corner, the divisiveness of political campaigning is upon us. How can the Church respond in a positive way? Join us as we examine whether it is possible for a broken Church to heal a divided society. Left/right, liberal/conservative, evangelical/social justice, is it possible to find unity, purpose and direction in Christ? How do we interact with those who are miles away politically, but sit next to us in worship every Sunday? Can we find common ground; yet remain the prophetic voice of society?
This conference is for pastors, theologians, service workers, academics, and laypersons interested in how the church can take care of its own divisions and work to heal the divisions in our communities as well.
